Description
This Pumpkin Martini is a festive and creamy cocktail perfect for fall celebrations. Combining vodka, pumpkin puree, and warm pumpkin pie spices with a touch of maple syrup sweetness, it’s garnished with a graham cracker rim for a delightful seasonal twist. This easy-to-make martini offers a rich, comforting flavor evocative of autumn desserts in cocktail form.
Ingredients
For the Cocktail
- 2 ounces vodka
- 1/2 ounce heavy cream (or coconut milk for a vegan option)
- 1/2 to 1 ounce pure maple syrup
- 2 tablespoons canned pumpkin puree
- 1/4 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
For the Rim
- Graham crackers, crushed
- Small amount of pure maple syrup (for dipping the rim)
Instructions
- Prepare the rim: Crush graham crackers finely with your fingers and spread them on a plate. On a separate plate, pour a small amount of maple syrup.
- Coat the glass rim: Dip the rim of a martini glass into the maple syrup, turning it so that the entire rim is evenly coated. Immediately roll the sticky rim into the crushed graham crackers until fully covered. Set aside.
- Mix the drink: Add vodka, heavy cream or coconut milk, maple syrup (start with 1/2 ounce and add more to taste), pumpkin puree, pumpkin pie spice, and vanilla extract into a cocktail shaker.
- Shake and chill: Add a handful of ice to the shaker, then shake vigorously until the mixture is well chilled and combined.
- Serve: Strain the cocktail into the prepared martini glass carefully, avoiding disturbing the graham cracker rim. Serve immediately for the best flavor and texture.
Notes
- You can adjust the sweetness by varying the amount of maple syrup from 1/2 to 1 ounce according to your preference.
- For a vegan version, substitute heavy cream with coconut milk or any plant-based cream alternative.
- Ensure your pumpkin puree is pure and unsweetened for the best balance of flavors.
- Use fresh pumpkin pie spice or blend cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and cloves for a homemade alternative.
- Chilling the cocktail shaker and ingredients beforehand can enhance the coldness and texture of the martini.
