Description

Delightful and fresh Fruit Spring Rolls, perfect for kids’ parties and easy enough for little hands to create. These colorful rolls combine crisp rice paper wrappers with a mix of juicy fruits, making a healthy, gluten-free treat that’s both fun and visually appealing.

Ingredients

Primary Ingredients

  • 15 Rice Paper Wrappers
  • 5 Cups of mixed fruits, cut into matchsticks (about 6 inches long each)
  • 5 Strawberries, sliced (or any colorful fruit to show through the wrapper)
  • 1/3 Cup Hot Water

Instructions

  1. Prepare Fruit: Slice the strawberries or your chosen show-through fruit into thin slices. Then, cut the remaining fruit into matchstick shapes about 6 inches in length to ensure an even and vibrant roll filling.
  2. Soften Rice Paper: Pour hot water into a wide plate, taking care to avoid splashing. Dip one rice paper wrapper into the hot water for approximately 10 seconds until fully softened but still pliable.
  3. Assemble Roll: Lay the softened wrapper flat on a plate or cutting board. Place several slices of the show-through fruit centrally. Next, layer the matchstick-cut fruits evenly over the slices. Adjust the quantity based on desired thickness of the roll.
  4. Roll It Up: Fold one corner of the rice paper over the fruit filling. Tuck in the sides neatly, then continue rolling tightly to form a secured spring roll.
  5. Serve: Place the completed rolls on a serving platter and enjoy immediately for the freshest taste and best texture.

Notes

  • Use a variety of colorful fruits such as mango, kiwi, pineapple, and melon to make the rolls visually appealing.
  • Work quickly once the rice paper is softened, as it becomes sticky and harder to handle if left too long.
  • Serve the rolls immediately to avoid sogginess from moisture released by the fruit.
  • For added fun, include a sweet dipping sauce like a honey yogurt or a mix of fruit preserves.
  • These rolls are naturally gluten-free and vegan-friendly.
