Description

This Easy Pumpkin Dip is a healthy, creamy treat combining Greek yogurt and canned pumpkin with warm spices and a touch of maple syrup. Perfect for a quick snack or party appetizer, it pairs wonderfully with sliced apples and requires minimal preparation time.

Ingredients

Dip Ingredients

  • 2 cups Stonyfield Organic Whole Milk Greek Plain Yogurt or plain YoBaby containers
  • 3/4 cup canned pumpkin
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

To Serve

  • Sliced apples

Instructions

  1. Combine Ingredients: In a mixing bowl, thoroughly combine the Greek yogurt, canned pumpkin, maple syrup, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, ground ginger, and nutmeg until smooth and evenly mixed.
  2. Chill the Dip: Cover the bowl and refrigerate the dip for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld and to serve it chilled.
  3. Serve: Arrange sliced apples on a serving plate alongside the chilled pumpkin dip for dipping and enjoying.

Notes

  • This dip can be prepared ahead of time and stored refrigerated for up to 3 days.
  • For a thicker dip, use Greek yogurt with higher fat content or strain regular yogurt before mixing.
  • Maple syrup can be substituted with honey or agave nectar for different sweetness profiles.
  • Try serving with other fruits like pears or graham crackers for variety.
  • Use canned pumpkin puree, not pumpkin pie filling which contains added sugars and spices.
