Description

Weasleys’ Dragon Roasted Nuts are a magical-inspired sweet and spicy snack with a caramelized glaze, warm spices, and a touch of heat. Crunchy, addictive, and whimsical, they make the perfect holiday treat, party snack, or edible gift straight out of the wizarding world.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups mixed nuts (almonds, cashews, pecans, or walnuts)
  • 1 large egg white, lightly beaten
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (or chili powder, to taste)
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk egg white until frothy. Add nuts and toss until well coated.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix brown sugar, honey, cinnamon, cayenne, paprika, and salt. Pour over nuts and toss to coat evenly.
  4. Spread coated nuts in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 25–30 minutes, stirring halfway through, until golden and crisp.
  6. Cool completely before breaking apart and serving.

Notes

  • Add vanilla extract to the glaze for extra sweetness.
  • Increase cayenne or add crushed red pepper flakes for more heat.
  • Use only almonds or pecans for a more uniform batch.
  • Dust with edible glitter or colored sugar for a festive, magical look.
  • To restore crunch, reheat at 300°F (150°C) for 5 minutes.
