Description

Sausage and Sweet Potatoes with Honey Garlic Sauce is a hearty and flavorful sheet pan dinner. Roasted sweet potatoes and savory sausage are coated in a sticky honey garlic glaze for a comforting, balanced, and easy weeknight meal.

Ingredients

12 oz smoked sausage or chicken sausage, sliced into rounds

2 large sweet potatoes, peeled and cubed

2 tbsp olive oil

1 tsp salt

1/2 tsp black pepper

3 garlic cloves, minced

3 tbsp honey

2 tbsp soy sauce (or coconut aminos)

1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Toss sweet potatoes with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Spread evenly on the baking sheet and roast for 20 minutes.
  3. Slice sausage into rounds. After 20 minutes, add sausage to the baking sheet, toss, and roast for another 20 minutes until potatoes are tender and sausage is browned.
  4. Meanwhile, whisk honey, garlic, soy sauce, and red pepper flakes in a small bowl.
  5. Drizzle sauce over roasted sausage and potatoes, toss to coat, and return to oven for 5 minutes to caramelize.
  6. Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve hot.

Notes

Swap sausage with kielbasa, turkey sausage, or chorizo for variety.

Add veggies like broccoli, Brussels sprouts, or bell peppers for a fuller sheet pan meal.

Reduce honey and add lemon juice for a less sweet, tangier flavor.

Cook on the stovetop if preferred—sauté potatoes until tender, then add sausage and sauce.

Freeze cooked sausage and potatoes for up to 2 months; make fresh sauce when reheating.
