Ingredients
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 packet ranch seasoning mix
1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
½ cup chicken broth
½ cup sour cream
½ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon onion powder
¼ teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon olive oil (optional, for searing)
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional, for garnish)

Instructions
- If desired, heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and sear chicken breasts 2–3 minutes per side until golden.
- In the crock pot, whisk together cream of chicken soup, ranch seasoning, chicken broth, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper until smooth.
- Nestle the chicken breasts into the sauce, turning to coat evenly.
- Cover and cook on low for 6–7 hours or on high for 3–4 hours, until chicken is cooked through and tender.
- Using two forks, shred the chicken in the crock pot and stir it into the creamy sauce.
- Fold in sour cream until fully incorporated.
