Description
Peanut Butter Blossom Cookies are soft, chewy peanut butter cookies topped with a classic chocolate kiss. These nostalgic cookies are easy to make and perfect for holiday trays, parties, or everyday treats.
Ingredients
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 large egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
24–30 chocolate kisses, unwrapped
1/4 cup additional granulated sugar (for rolling)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In a separate large bowl, beat butter, peanut butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until creamy and smooth.
- Mix in the egg and vanilla extract until fully combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and mix until a soft dough forms.
- Roll dough into 1-inch balls, then roll each ball in additional sugar.
- Place dough balls on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 8–10 minutes, until cookies are puffed and lightly golden.
- Immediately press a chocolate kiss into the center of each cookie.
- Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Swap chocolate kisses for mini peanut butter cups or chocolate chunks.
Use colored sugar for a festive holiday look.
Crunchy peanut butter can be used for added texture.
