Description

Juicy Orange Chocolate Christmas Truffles are decadent no-bake treats that combine rich dark chocolate with vibrant fresh orange zest and juice. Perfect for gifting, snacking, or serving after a festive meal.


Ingredients

8 oz (225g) dark chocolate, finely chopped

1/2 cup heavy cream

2 tbsp unsalted butter

1 tbsp fresh orange zest

2 tbsp fresh orange juice

Cocoa powder, crushed nuts, or powdered sugar for coating


Instructions

  1. Finely chop the dark chocolate and place it in a heatproof bowl.
  2. In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream and butter over medium heat until it just begins to simmer.
  3. Pour the hot cream mixture over the chocolate and let it sit for 1 minute to melt.
  4. Stir gently until smooth and fully combined.
  5. Mix in the orange zest and orange juice.
  6. Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for 1–2 hours until firm.
  7. Use a small spoon or melon baller to scoop out portions and roll into balls between your palms.
  8. Roll each truffle in your choice of cocoa powder, crushed nuts, or powdered sugar.
  9. Store in an airtight container in the fridge until ready to serve.
