Description

Tender corn kernels glazed in a buttery, honey-sweet skillet sauce with a touch of spice and caramelized edges for an easy, indulgent side dish.

Ingredients

4 cups fresh or frozen corn kernels

2 tablespoons unsalted butter

2 tablespoons honey

½ teaspoon garlic powder

¼ teaspoon smoked paprika

Salt and black pepper, to taste

1 tablespoon fresh chopped parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add the butter.
  2. Once the butter melts and foams, stir in the honey, garlic powder, and smoked paprika until smooth.
  3. Add the corn kernels, tossing to coat each piece in the honey-butter glaze.
  4. Let the corn cook undisturbed for 2–3 minutes to caramelize the bottom, then stir and continue cooking 3–4 more minutes until tender and slightly browned.
  5. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  6. Sprinkle chopped parsley over the corn before serving, if desired.

Notes

Spicy Honey: Stir in a pinch of red pepper flakes or a dash of hot sauce when adding the glaze.

Lime Zest: Grate fresh lime zest over the finished corn for a bright citrus note.

Cheesy Finish: Sprinkle crumbled cotija or grated Parmesan on top right before serving.

Herb Mix: Substitute cilantro or chives for parsley to vary the flavor.

Maple Twist: Replace half the honey with pure maple syrup for a deeper, woodsy sweetness.

Storage & Reheat: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator up to 3 days; reheat gently in a skillet over low heat with a splash of water or butter, or microwave for 1 minute.
