Description

Ground Beef Hot Honey Bowls are a crave-worthy mix of sweet, spicy, and savory flavors. Juicy ground beef is coated in a sticky hot honey glaze and served over rice with fresh toppings for a quick, bold, and customizable dinner.

Ingredients

1 lb ground beef (lean or regular)

1 tablespoon olive oil (if needed)

1 small onion, finely diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

3 tablespoons soy sauce

1/4 cup hot honey (or mix honey + hot sauce)

1 tablespoon rice vinegar (or lime juice)

Salt and black pepper, to taste

3 cups cooked rice, quinoa, or cauliflower rice (for serving)

Optional toppings: sliced cucumber, shredded carrots, avocado, sesame seeds, cilantro, green onions

Instructions

  1. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook ground beef until browned, breaking it up as it cooks. Drain excess fat if needed.
  2. Add diced onion and garlic; sauté until softened and fragrant.
  3. Stir in soy sauce, hot honey, and rice vinegar. Simmer 2–3 minutes until beef is coated in a sticky glaze.
  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. To serve, scoop rice (or grain of choice) into bowls, top with hot honey beef, and finish with toppings like cucumber, carrots, avocado, or herbs.
  6. Garnish with sesame seeds and an extra drizzle of hot honey if desired.

Notes

Swap ground beef with turkey or chicken for a lighter version.

Add sautéed peppers, broccoli, or snap peas for extra vegetables.

Top with a fried or poached egg for more protein.

Adjust spice level by adding more hot honey, chili flakes, or sriracha.

Serve over cauliflower rice or zucchini noodles for a low-carb option.
