Description
Ground Beef Hot Honey Bowls are a crave-worthy mix of sweet, spicy, and savory flavors. Juicy ground beef is coated in a sticky hot honey glaze and served over rice with fresh toppings for a quick, bold, and customizable dinner.
Ingredients
1 lb ground beef (lean or regular)
1 tablespoon olive oil (if needed)
1 small onion, finely diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
3 tablespoons soy sauce
1/4 cup hot honey (or mix honey + hot sauce)
1 tablespoon rice vinegar (or lime juice)
Salt and black pepper, to taste
3 cups cooked rice, quinoa, or cauliflower rice (for serving)
Optional toppings: sliced cucumber, shredded carrots, avocado, sesame seeds, cilantro, green onions
Instructions
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook ground beef until browned, breaking it up as it cooks. Drain excess fat if needed.
- Add diced onion and garlic; sauté until softened and fragrant.
- Stir in soy sauce, hot honey, and rice vinegar. Simmer 2–3 minutes until beef is coated in a sticky glaze.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- To serve, scoop rice (or grain of choice) into bowls, top with hot honey beef, and finish with toppings like cucumber, carrots, avocado, or herbs.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and an extra drizzle of hot honey if desired.
Notes
Swap ground beef with turkey or chicken for a lighter version.
Add sautéed peppers, broccoli, or snap peas for extra vegetables.
Top with a fried or poached egg for more protein.
Adjust spice level by adding more hot honey, chili flakes, or sriracha.
Serve over cauliflower rice or zucchini noodles for a low-carb option.
