Description
“Ghost” popcorn is a fun and spooky Halloween treat made with popcorn coated in sweet white chocolate and decorated with little ghost faces. It’s festive, delicious, and easy to whip up for parties, movie nights, or trick-or-treat bags.
Ingredients
8 cups popped popcorn (plain or lightly salted)
12 oz white chocolate chips or white candy melts
1/2 cup mini chocolate chips (for eyes)
1/4 cup regular chocolate chips or melted dark chocolate (for mouths)
Optional: Halloween sprinkles or candy eyes
Instructions
- Spread popped popcorn evenly on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Melt white chocolate or candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl in 20-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
- Drizzle melted chocolate over popcorn and toss gently to coat.
- While still wet, press mini chocolate chips into popcorn clusters for eyes. Add regular chocolate chips or dots of melted dark chocolate for mouths to create ghost faces.
- Optional: decorate with candy eyes or Halloween sprinkles.
- Let the popcorn sit at room temperature until chocolate sets, about 15–20 minutes.
- Break into clusters and serve in bowls or treat bags.
Notes
Use candy melts for easier coating and a smooth finish.
Add candy corn, pretzels, or gummy worms for variety.
Lightly salted kettle corn makes a great sweet-and-salty base.
Add peanuts or almonds for extra crunch.
Store in airtight containers at room temperature up to 3 days.
