Description

Ingredients

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

Salt and pepper, to taste

2 eggs, beaten

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

1 cup breadcrumbs (plain or Italian-style)

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 tsp garlic powder

23 tbsp olive oil or butter (for cooking)

Fresh parsley or basil, chopped (optional, for garnish)


Instructions

  1. Pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Set up three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with a mix of breadcrumbs, Parmesan, and garlic powder.
  3. Dredge each chicken breast in flour, then dip in eggs, and coat in the breadcrumb mixture.
  4. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook chicken until golden brown and cooked through, about 4–5 minutes per side.
  5. Alternatively, bake at 400°F (200°C) for 20–25 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  6. Garnish with fresh parsley or basil and serve hot.

Notes

Add shredded mozzarella on top for extra cheesiness.

Include paprika or cayenne in breadcrumbs for a spicy twist.

Use turkey cutlets or pork chops as a variation.
