Description

This Easy Crockpot Chicken and Gravy is a comforting, no-fuss meal featuring tender shredded chicken in a rich, savory gravy. Perfect for busy nights, it’s a hearty dish served best over mashed potatoes, rice, or biscuits.


Ingredients

2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs

2 packets chicken gravy mix

1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup

1 cup low-sodium chicken broth or water

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 tsp black pepper

Optional: 1/4 cup sour cream or cream cheese

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)


Instructions

  1. Place chicken in the bottom of the crockpot.
  2. In a bowl, mix together cream of chicken soup, chicken gravy packets, broth or water, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  3. Pour mixture over the chicken, ensuring it is well coated.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6–7 hours or on high for 3–4 hours, until chicken is tender and easy to shred.
  5. Shred the chicken directly in the crockpot using two forks and stir it into the gravy.
  6. Optional: Stir in sour cream or cream cheese for extra creaminess.
  7. Serve hot over mashed potatoes, rice, noodles, or biscuits. Garnish with fresh parsley.

Notes

Use chicken thighs for extra juiciness.

Add canned mushrooms, frozen peas, or corn for variety.

Use low-fat cream soup for a lighter version.

Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 4 days.

Reheat with a splash of broth or milk if the gravy thickens.
