Crispy Air Fryer Chicken & Mozzarella Wraps are a quick and delicious meal featuring tender seasoned chicken breast cooked to perfection in an air fryer, combined with fresh spinach and melted mozzarella cheese, all wrapped in a crispy whole wheat tortilla. Ideal for a satisfying lunch or dinner that’s both flavorful and easy to make.


Ingredients

Chicken and Seasoning

  • 2 large chicken breasts (approximately 1 pound total)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

Wrap Components

  • 4 whole wheat tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup fresh spinach leaves

Optional

  • ¼ cup ranch dressing (for serving)
  • Olive oil spray or cooking spray (for air fryer basket and wraps)


Instructions

  1. Prepare the chicken: Cut the chicken breasts into thin strips. In a mixing bowl, combine the garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Add the chicken strips to the bowl and toss well to coat all pieces evenly with the seasoning mixture.
  2. Preheat the air fryer: Set your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) and allow it to preheat for 3-5 minutes to ensure even cooking.
  3. Cook the chicken strips: Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray to prevent sticking. Arrange the seasoned chicken strips in a single layer inside the basket, taking care not to overcrowd. Air fry for 8 minutes, flipping the strips halfway through to cook evenly until the chicken is golden brown and fully cooked.
  4. Assemble the wraps: Remove cooked chicken strips from the air fryer. On each whole wheat tortilla, layer fresh spinach leaves, followed by a generous handful of shredded mozzarella cheese, and then the hot chicken strips.
  5. Roll the wraps: Tightly roll each tortilla to enclose the fillings. Lightly spray the outside of each wrap with olive oil spray to help with browning and crispiness.
  6. Crisp the wraps: Place the wraps seam-side down into the air fryer basket. Air fry again at 375°F (190°C) for 2-3 minutes until the tortillas are golden and crispy on the outside.
  7. Serve: Remove the wraps from the air fryer and let them cool for a moment. Slice each wrap in half and serve with optional ranch dressing for dipping if desired.
