Description
Creamy Kielbasa Broccoli Skillet is a rich, flavorful one-pan dinner made with smoky sausage, tender broccoli, and a cheesy cream sauce. Ready in just 30 minutes, it’s the perfect quick and comforting weeknight meal.
Ingredients
14 oz kielbasa sausage, sliced into rounds
4 cups broccoli florets (fresh or frozen)
1 tablespoon olive oil or butter
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup chicken broth
2 oz cream cheese (optional, for extra creaminess)
1 cup shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese
1/2 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sauté kielbasa slices until browned on both sides. Remove and set aside.
- Add olive oil or butter to the skillet and sauté garlic until fragrant.
- Add broccoli florets and cook for 3–4 minutes, adding a splash of chicken broth to steam until tender-crisp.
- Pour in heavy cream and remaining chicken broth. Stir in cream cheese (if using) until melted and smooth.
- Return kielbasa to the skillet and simmer for a few minutes, letting the sauce thicken.
- Stir in shredded cheese until creamy and well combined.
- Season with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes to taste.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
Notes
Swap broccoli with cauliflower, spinach, or green beans.
Use half-and-half instead of heavy cream for a lighter option.
Serve over pasta, rice, or with crusty bread for a heartier meal.
Add smoked paprika for extra depth and smokiness.
Mix in sun-dried tomatoes or mushrooms for added richness.
