Description
Cherry Earl Grey Milk Tea is a cozy, elegant drink that blends the floral citrus notes of Earl Grey with the sweet richness of cherries and the creaminess of warm milk. It’s comforting, fragrant, and perfect for enjoying hot or iced.
Ingredients
1 Earl Grey tea bag (or 1 tsp loose leaf Earl Grey tea)
1 cup water
½ cup milk (dairy, almond, oat, or preferred type)
4–5 fresh cherries, pitted and halved
1–2 tsp vanilla syrup (adjust to taste)
1 cinnamon stick (optional)
Ice (optional, for iced version)
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, heat cherries with a splash of water for about 5 minutes until softened and juicy.
- Brew the Earl Grey tea in 1 cup hot water for 3–5 minutes, then remove the tea bag or strain leaves.
- Warm the milk in the saucepan with softened cherries. Add the cinnamon stick if desired.
- Stir in vanilla syrup to taste.
- Pour brewed tea into a mug, then strain the cherry milk mixture over it, pressing on cherries to release flavor.
- Serve warm, or cool and pour over ice for an iced version. Garnish with a fresh cherry or sprinkle of cinnamon if desired.
Notes
Use oat or almond milk for a dairy-free version.
For stronger cherry flavor, add cherry preserves or syrup.
Add a pinch of cardamom or nutmeg for extra spice.
Blend with ice for a frappe-like iced latte.
Try swapping Earl Grey with black, oolong, or green tea for variations.
