Description

These Brownie Christmas Trees are a festive and easy-to-make holiday treat using boxed brownie mix and homemade green frosting. Perfect for decorating with kids or serving at holiday parties.

Ingredients

1 box of brownie mix (any brand)

2 eggs

1/2 cup vegetable oil

3 tablespoons water

2 cups powdered sugar

1/2 cup butter, softened

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

23 tablespoons milk

Green food coloring

Holiday sprinkles

Yellow star toppers

Disposable piping bag

Wilton star tip (1M)

3 round cookie/biscuit cutters (small, medium, large)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the brownies according to the package instructions using eggs, oil, and water. Let them cool completely.
  2. In a bowl, mix powdered sugar, softened butter, and vanilla extract.
  3. Add milk gradually until the frosting is smooth but thick enough to pipe.
  4. Add green food coloring to achieve a vibrant green color.
  5. Fit a piping bag with a Wilton 1M star tip and fill with frosting.
  6. Use cookie cutters to cut small, medium, and large circles from the cooled brownie sheet.
  7. Place the largest brownie circle on a plate, pipe frosting on top, stack the medium circle, pipe again, then top with the smallest circle.
  8. Pipe a swirl of frosting on the top to complete the tree shape.
  9. Decorate with sprinkles and top with a yellow star.
  10. Repeat with remaining brownies.

Notes

Ensure the frosting is thick to hold the brownie layers together.

You can use a zip-top bag instead of a piping bag.

Store at room temperature for 2 days or refrigerate for up to 5 days.

Do not reheat assembled trees as frosting may melt.

Try different toppings like mini M&Ms or coconut for variety.
