Description

Apple Pie Pull Apart Bread is a gooey, cinnamon-spiced, shareable treat that combines the flavors of apple pie with the fun, buttery layers of pull-apart bread. Perfect for breakfast, dessert, or a cozy fall snack.

Ingredients

2 cans refrigerated biscuit dough or crescent roll dough

3 medium apples, peeled and finely chopped

2 tablespoons lemon juice

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/4 cup granulated sugar

2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg (optional)

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

1/2 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)

23 tablespoons milk (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a standard loaf pan.
  2. In a bowl, mix apples with lemon juice, brown sugar, granulated sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla. Let sit 5 minutes.
  3. Flatten each biscuit or crescent dough piece slightly. Spoon a bit of apple mixture onto each round.
  4. Stack dough pieces and place vertically in loaf pan.
  5. Brush top with melted butter and any remaining apple mixture.
  6. Bake 40–45 minutes, until golden brown and center is cooked through.
  7. Cool slightly. Whisk powdered sugar and milk to form glaze and drizzle over bread before serving.

Notes

Use Granny Smith or Honeycrisp apples for best flavor.

Add chopped pecans or walnuts for crunch.

Drizzle caramel sauce instead of glaze for a richer finish.

Swap apples for pears or peaches for a variation.

Make ahead by assembling the loaf and refrigerating overnight before baking.
